Going on holiday is something everyone looks forward to. Things that no-one looks forward to are cancelled flights, medical bills or lost luggage. This can happen to anyone at any time. Don’t be caught out without travel insurance.

When you’re outside of the UK, becoming ill or injured can come with more complications than you expect. Having travel insurance in place will give you peace of mind should the worst happen.

Just to let you know, travel insurance covers you after the event takes place. You will have to cover any costs upfront and then you'll have to make a claim to your insurer. With this in mind, make sure you keep any documentation that can prove your claim such as hospital bills.

Don’t get caught out while you’re abroad, get covered now.

What Are The Different Policy Types That I Can Take Out?

When taking out a travel insurance policy, you’ll be asked which type of cover you’d like to purchase. There are three levels of cover. Here are your options:

Single Trip

Single Trip cover is travel insurance that you take out for when you are travelling to one location for a set amount of time. With Single Trip cover, you can be covered for various outcomes including unforeseen medical expenses, cancellation costs, and lost luggage.

Annual Multi-Trip

If you’re planning on taking more than one trip a year, then arranging an Annual Multi-Trip policy is the most cost effective. Instead of buying separate insurance policies each time you set off, take out multi-trip insurance to cover every trip you make during a 12-month period.
